KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO DO

Many may remain unemployed or unhappily employed simply because they don't know what they really want to do in order to change their financial situation. I've heard many say, “Just give me something, anything, small or big, anything will do”. Those words may sound humble, but they are the anthem of one who has already accepted defeat in life.

You are worth more than 'anything', so don't settle for just anything. Why not plan today to be your own boss? I still maintain, being your own boss is the best deal any day. The employer never gets 'downsized', 'right-sized', laid-off, turned-down, terminated, sacked or any of those words that are the potential lot of the employed.

So, why shouldn't you be the one making decisions for others? Why be the person adversely affected by other people's decisions? You have ‘the same number of heads’ to be the person in charge!

To be in charge, you must know what you really want in life. Here's an honest truth - no man living owes you success in life! You must make th effort to step out for yourself! We all need encouragers as press forward in life, but even then, encouragers can only encourage. One can take a horse to the river, but can't make it drink.

Even the most determined mentor requires your determination as raw material. Financial success requires that you play your part.  Read books, journals, attend helpful seminars [like the Turn-Ideas 2 Cash Seminars], constantly place yourself in environments that will stir up the sleeping genius in you. Your biggest problem is not the hunger or insufficiency that comes from absence of cash, but  the stagnation that lacking sense of purpose can impose upon your life and creativity. Absence of something to live for is what ultimately perpetuates hunger and insufficiency. But know this for sure, there is no circumstance you are in today that cannot change. Many have experienced same, and even worse, but have become icons of success today.

SO, HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY WANT DO?

At a time in life, Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken was in your shoes. He considered his life a waste. Retired and living on government welfare, he felt frustrated but decided to do the only thing he knew how to do well. He made his chicken recipe and gave to friends and family. Then a few orders came and the rest is history. Sanders retired poor but ended up rich simply by doing out what he knew to do best. I want to share a simple principle that will help you identify what you can do to change your financial situation.

The journey to changing your financial situation starts with answering these 4 simple questions;

- What do you like doing?
- What needs exist around you that you can meet?
-What can you find to do that does not depend on the assistance of another person?
- What old thing can you do in a way?

They will assist you in making the best decisions.

Many avoid making definite decisions due to doubt and fear of failure. It is important to decide on a product or service which you can provide, or a need you can meet. And you need to decide quickly and definitely.

According to Napoleon Hill, “Analysis of over 25,000 men and women who had experienced failure disclosed the fact that lack of decision was near the head of the list of the thirty-one major causes of failure.” Fear and doubt are quite unnecessary and irrelevant to the future you have imagined you desire.. Rather, a decision is vital. According to Sir John Lubbock (1834 -1913), “If we are ever in doubt about what to do, it is a good rule to ask ourselves what we shall wish on the morrow that we had done.” Consider the next ten to fifteen years. What would you regret you never did? Why can't you start it today?

WHY IS A DECISION IMPORTANT?

It was Napoloen Hill who said, “It is very needful to develop a character of making quick and definite decisions. Research has shown that several hundreds who had accumulated fortunes well beyond the million-dollar mark disclosed the fact that every one of them had the habit of reaching decisions promptly and of changing these decisions very slowly. People who fail to accumulate money, without exception, have the habit of reaching decisions slowly (if ever they make them), and changing them quickly and often.”

Write down all your Ideas. It's strange but it seems that things written down eventually get done. It happens with me. What to look for amidst the options that open up to you is the most practical idea for now. Focus on it. Next, scale your idea down to the most [immediately] practicable and manageable level. Every Oak tree started as an Acorn. Start somewhere. Don't ignore the advantage of prayer. God will definitely help you choose the best option, if you ask Him. Why not ask Him right now? Multi-million naira businesses started from humble beginnings. Even Coca Cola started from a kettle!

If you ever thought that mankind needs no more inventions, you need to wake up my friend. God created every single human in His image and after His likeness. Since He created you, what have you created? Your status is irrelevant. Abraham Lincoln failed at everything in life, but still became America's president. Even in your weakness and inability, there is creative genius within you.
