AND HOW















Learning What To Do and How To Do It Well is your responsibility as an Appointed Leader or Volunteer Worker. This was my challenge when I was appointed to lead a prayer team.

I had no idea what to do. I knew I had to learn. I asked God to show me what to do. At the fellowship meeting, God told me, "Pay attention to how the Pastor talks when he's trying to get them to act or react to certain things. That's how to get your people praying!" I copied that. From the very next meeting their praying became loud and fervent! But promptness was still a challenge. I prayed again. God told me, "Get there thirty minutes earlier and start praying!" I did. Promptness began improving.

Soon, I began meeting some unit members at the venue praying thirty minutes BEFORE my arrival! By graduation, a number of Unit members were averaging three hours on our prayer days. Many came earlier AND stayed one hour longer than our 09.00pm closing time! At one meeting, as I prayed to close, one of us started crying and shouting, "Noooooo! Why? Why?" ...She's a gospel minister somewhere in North Africa!

To be called by god is a privilege, to be anointed an advantage, but to be found faithful is a strict prerequisite. The prerogative to choose and anoint is solely God’s, but the choice of faithfulness is totally yours. Scriptures show us that after prayer, Jesus called and ordained twelve apostles including Judas Iscariot.
